Kaleidoscope XXL is what it says on the tin: a Kaleidoscope party, turned up 6 notches. We’ve got three nights of parties in incredible venues, and two days of fusion dance workshops. We’re bringing in the best fusion dance teachers, and DJs that we can find. And when we say as much dancing as your legs can handle, we mean it: across the weekend we have around 20 hours of party time, and 6 hours of workshops. And it’s all sprinkled in that Kaleidoscope magic: the lights, the sparkles, and keeping it queer af.
We can’t dance without music. And music is a huge focus at Kaleidoscope XXL. We have DJs from all over Europe joining us for XXL each year.
The Kaleidoscope XXL vibe is all about broadening the range of music we dance to in fusion and platforming artists who are left out of the mainstream.
We're showcasing three headline DJs with multiple sets over the weekend:
✨ DJ Po
✨ Reid
✨ Coren
And we've got nine amazing guest DJs doing a set each too:
✨ DJ Charlii
✨ Dragonchild
✨ Ewa
✨ Hazel
✨ Impling
✨ Knoxytocin
✨ Mattr
✨ Max
✨ Sylvie
We’re lucky to have some incredible fusion teachers here in Bristol, who will be leading two days of workshops during the festival: Saturday and Sunday. These are all-level, so if you're newer to fusion you have some tricks to bring to the dancefloor each night.
In 2026, our classes are being taught by Genna Corlett and Hazel Crimmins.
More about Genna Corlett:
With a lifelong passion for solo dance, Genna discovered partner dancing in 2017 while studying in Edinburgh. They enthusiastically ate up swing dances like Lindy hop and shag, before finding their heart in blues and fusion.
They moved to Bristol just over 2 years ago where they teach both blues and fusion partner dancing for their local community. They are a nerd about people as much as movement, and love helping others find their own groove, deepen their listening skills, and find confidence expressing themselves with others.
More about Hazel Crimmins:
Dancing begins on the inside. In the heart and the imagination. Ever since Hazel could walk she was doing it to the beat and making up her own rules. She has been teaching in the physical arts for over 15 years and has been in love with social partner dancing since 2010.
Hazel draws on an eclectic world of influences blending technical disciplines such as contemporary dance and yoga with the improvisation skills that she picked up at clown school. The clown tries to be present, reactive to its surroundings, and embraces vulnerabilities.
All Hazel’s classes are underpinned by strong values around consent, emotional honesty and a desire to deeply connect to, rather than consume, the art of making music.
We throw dance parties where all bodies are invited. You already know how to dance, we're just here to give you permission to embrace all of the ways your body wants to move.
Come alone, come with friends, dip in a toe or plunge in the deep end. However you want to party, we're here for it.
So that everyone feels safe to unleash their full selves on the dancefloor our only rule is to be excellent to one another (aka the "don't be an asshole" policy). What does that mean? We expect you to be great at respecting other peoples' boundaries and bodies, to pay attention, and to use your words if you're unsure. Trust us, asking is way less awkward than getting it wrong.
You can read our full code of conduct here.
Kaleidoscope XXL is the sister event to Camp Kaleidoscope - a fusion dance residential focused on leveling up your dance game. We've arranged it so that you can spend a week at Camp working on your technique, and then go and put it all into action straight away at XXL. Camp is Sunday 22nd-Friday 27th March, and includes transfers to and from Bristol to our castle in the countryside. Kaleidoscope XXL is straight after: Friday 27th - Sunday 29th March.
Camp attendees will get priority booking for Kaleidoscope XXL, and also a discount on their ticket for the weekender.

Camp KaleidoscopeDo you do social passes?
No. We're keeping it simple with one pass to cover the full weekend, whether you want to come to the workshops and the parties, or just the parties. This gives you flexibility and as 95% of our costs are on the evening parties, social passes wouldn't save you much.
Can I split a pass with a second caregiver?
Yes! We want to make it possible for parents and caregivers to enjoy Kaleidoscope XXL by sharing a pass.
Both of you should register, but you can split the cost between you. We'll take the details at registration.
Can I split a pass for another reason?
Probably not. We'll have single night tickets for those who can only make part of the event. Otherwise, your full pass entitles you to as much of the weekend as you can make - but you can't do partial transfers, and full transfers are subject to our "Changing Plans" policies below.
Will there be single-night tickets available?
Yes. They're sold on headfirst, links below:
How much does it cost?
To make the event as accessible as possible, we offer a sliding scale and will give as many discounts as we can afford, plus a limited number of free passes. This is made possible by the generosity of people who can afford to pay a little more!
What's the camper discount about?
That's for folks who are coming to Camp Kaleidoscope - our week-long residential - before the weekend. You can learn more about Camp here.
Where are the venues?
We have a range of venues across the city - they are all on this map. In short:
What are the timings?
Parties start at 8pm every night to keep things simple, so that whatever your bed time you get to squeeze every last dance out of the night.
How do I get to the Saturday night venue?
The Arts Mansion is on the outskirts of town and your best bet is to drive or get a taxi. There is loads of carparking space, and once you've registered you can join the Discord where there is a rideshare area to co-ordinate with others on lifts and cabs.
Is it residential?
No! Only Camp Kaleidoscope, our week-long intensive, is residential. When Camp ends, everyone gets on the bus back to Bristol for a weekend of parties and workshops across the city, classic dance festival style. You'll need to sort your own accomodation for the weekend.
What's your cancellation policy?
We're happy to offer refunds up to one month before the event. After that, you're welcome to arrange a private transfer - just get in touch with us to make sure that we make it work behind the scenes too.
What's your sickness policy?
If you feel unwell, please test for Covid and do not attend if you test positive. If you have a mild virus that is not Covid, please keep everyone healthy by masking up! We'll have masks available on the front desk in a range of colours to suit your outfit.
